Follow these steps to delete a Conversation and Text Message on your iPhone using VoiceOver. That’s right – no more spammy or unwanted messages clogging up your phone!
- Open the Messages app and flick right until you get to the message conversation you want to delete.
- Do not double tap on it.
- Flick up or down with one finger until you hear delete. (Note, other actions available include Pin, mark as unread, and hide alerts).
- Double tap.
- Now you will get a warning that you are deleting this conversation, double tap on Delete to confirm.
So we have dealt with deleting a full conversation, so how do we delete a single text message inside a conversation?
- Again, Go to the Messages app.
- Find a conversation by flicking to the right, and double tap to open the conversation.
- Now flick left or right until you hear the specific text message you want to delete.
- When you are on the text message you want, flick down with one finger until you hear more. (Other actions available include react, reply, copy, and translate) and double tap.
- Now extra options will pop up such as Delete and forward.
- You will have to flick to the right to get to Delete and double tap.
- As always you will have to confirm Delete when it pops up.
